Casey and Patrick met a decade ago at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Their careers took them through Michelin-starred kitchens like Bouchon, Quince, and Acquerello, refining their craft and love for thoughtful dining.


Eventually, they returned to Casey’s hometown in Dayton and opened Grist —a place built on ambition, humility, and a love for feeding people well.


Now, Resonant marks the next chapter — an elevated yet approachable dining experience focused on connection, memory, and the joy of food. Casey and Patrick are thrilled to share this new space shaped by their journey, their craft, and the people who’ve inspired them.

Our front‑of‑house team is the welcoming heartbeat of the dining room. They guide guests through the evening with warmth, clarity, and an intuitive sense of timing. Their work is equal parts choreography and conversation — anticipating needs, reading the room, and creating an atmosphere where guests feel seen, understood, and cared for. Hospitality at Resonant is never scripted; it’s attentive, grounded, and deeply human.

BOH // Culinary
Behind the scenes, our culinary team brings discipline, creativity, and precision to every plate. They move with intention — refining techniques, honoring ingredients, and upholding the standards that define our kitchen. From early‑morning prep to the final plate of the night, the BOH team works in harmony, each person quietly and instinctively contributing to a shared pursuit of excellence. Their work is challenging, focused, and essential to the experience that unfolds in the dining room.
